Default HELP Clock lighting up and dimming!!!

I've noticed recently that my clock on my stock monsoon unit is dimming and lighting up but now it seems that most of the time you can't even see the clock with the radio turned on. It's like almost the clock goes dim and whenever it decides to illuminate it does, it's really weird. What is the cause of this and is there any way that I can fix this unit because I hate to have to go and buy a whole new head unit when there's nothing wrong with this one besides whatever screwy is going on with the clock. thanks guys I'll be glad to get this mystery solved.

First I'd pull the radio and check where the wiring plugs into the back and make sure it's tight. Perhaps it has come loose and isn't getting good contact although I doubt it since that would probably cause all the lights and such on the radio to do the same thing.

Worse case it might be an internal problem.....good time for a flip out cd/dvd/mp3 player
