seat belt buckles on a 02 ta
does anybody else have different buckles (male part) in their front seat cause in my car the driver one is a 1 pice degsign that has a bit of bend to it while the the passenger side is 2 piese and it not benyt at all and when looknig at this older(98-00 i think) 4th gen firebird it had the same buckles on both sides and they were identical to the buckle on my passenger side???? this all has left me confused as of not the local dealership is investgating it but they say both buckles are gm parts made for the car just by different contractors

My 02 Z28 is like that with the front buckles being different... Looks really tacky IMO. I didn't notice it before I bought the car.

The pasenger side buckle is they way it is due to some government regulation. It has something to do with a child safety seat. I think I saw it either in the manual or in that blue flier that also came with the car. The one that says not to use a pressure washer because it can blow past the t-top weather stripping.
