Happy turkey day fella's and ladies. As most of you know (who chat with me) my 98 SS is in the shop finally getting painted. My question is this, My body man kinda hit a road block reguarding the top which we all know is black. Okay, he never actually painted a top section on an f body or Vette and mine has minor scratches. He gave me three options. 1) remove and dealer order the top section (yes it's possible and obviously terribly expensive for both part and labor), 2) touch up,buff,and shoot clear over it, Finally 3) it was suggested to sand the damn thing and go over it with a "gloss black" and of coarse a coat or two of clear. As always your help is appreciated. I need to tell him something soon b/c I'm supposed to pick it up Saturday (will post pics too) Thanx

You can scuff it and shoot it black, or go body color on it if you want. Then clear it as necessary.
