Default Need storage for music, iPod nano, ipod iTouch, iPhone, or MP3 player?

I download a lot of music and of course, the CDs I have only hold 19-20 songs. So I'm limited to what songs I can put on a CD. It sucks because I'll have to sacrifice one song to keep another. Then I have a bunch of CDs I have to scrambble for when wanting to listen to music in my truck. So that's why I want some type of music storage device and my head unit has a input for an iPod.

I don't really need a new phone as my Samsug Sync works just fine, but I mentioned the iPhone because it's also an iPod. I only use my phone for text messaging, taking pics, and talking of course. I don't get on the internet, don't do any video or music streaming, etc.

Anyhow, I was looking at the 8GB iPod Nano ($200), 8GB iPod iTouch $(300), 8GB iPhone ($400), and a MP3 player. What do you suggest I purchase? If I purchased the iPhone, could I just stick to the plan that I currently have without having to upgrade to this, that, or the other?

This thread was intended for music storage, so let me know what you think. Thanks.

yeah i got my zune from woot too, love it, it's the 30 gig model payed 100 then shippin, hell of a lot cheaper than ipod.....god i hate ipod. that stupid wheel pisses me off. oh anyways zune has their market place where you can "rent" their music for a month for any song you want. pretty nice and keeps your library fresh. but if you want to download the song it's like 80 something cents. but if you know how to get by the protection...... woops anyways if a 30 gig isnt enough for you (which i already maxed mine out ) they have the new 80 gig one....bwahahahah

I never say much, but man have you ever just went for it and bought something without asking everyone for their opinion? Just having a hard enough time shopping for everyone I know without having to do all your shopping for you too. LOL!

No, not really. I don't like to throw money away. I prefer to do research, ask for opinions and experience, so that I don't waste my money on something I'm clueless about. Plus, do you want to see more crap for sale when I realize it's not what I want or need?

Dell is having a badass sale on the Microsoft 30gb Zune. They usually sell for $200, but they are selling the brown ones for $99.

They are better than ipods and for that price cannot be beat

reject, it's all good dude. I took no offense to his comment. Everyone has an opinion.

ex-SS-ve, dayum, 160GB. I don't think I could or would want to fill up a 160GB iPod. Do you have other files besides music on it?

2002C5COUPE, thanks for the tip. My buddy mentioned the Zune and that it's suppose to be the newest thing with storage.

Get a Kenwood Keg and/or a deck that can play MP3's. You should be able to get lots of MP3s onto a 700MB CDR or CDRW. The Kenwood Keg (cx-910) has a 20gig removeable digital harddrive and a USB cradle to transfer your MP3s from your computer to the drive. Approx. 5000 songs will get you far without having to hear the same song twice. :yup:

The CDs I have are 700mb and are CD-R, but every time it only holds 19-20 songs. My head unit does play MP3.

If you already have AT&T youll add about 20bucks per month to your plan for all the Iphone stuff. If I was with them I would have already have one, so im looking at the blackberry curve. With the Iphone, and Ipod touch you can download music directly with no computer. I think youd be fine with a 30gig classic.

buy.com has some 30gb Zunes for under 100.00 i also just purchased the iphone and I like that thing. I have 174 songs on it right now. I think you can get a ipod adapter for your car and make it work on your car.

ive got everything from music, movies, tv shows and pictures on it. oh yea its advertised as a 160 but only has 148 gig free memory on it.however it was pricey 420$ but well worth it alone in music storage. seeing as i have approximately 3k$ worth of music on it alone!
