Default Is a C5R Block considered an LS Motor?

I know it is a GM motor, etc. I have always got several different answers; and I did not see anyone running a C5R block at the LSX Shootout unless I missed them. If I planned on swapping for one of these motors, does this eliminate me from the "LS" Events and will the C5R work/bolt-up (without issues) to a 4L60E transmission? Any special mods I would have to make to a Trans Am to make it fit? If I have an LS1 K-Member, would this work with a C5R?

A C5R block is a production GM block, so it would be able to be used at the LSX shootout. Everything would bolt right up to it. We can also offer a sleeved block if you are looking for a strong aluminum block. This would cost less than a C5R block with the same capabilities.
