Default direct flow lid and SLP air temperature module

I just got a rock stock 99 T/A. I am looking to start modding it by adding a lid and cutout. I am looking at the lid on ls1motorsports.com. Along with the lid there is also an air temperature module that is suppose to "suggest" to the computer that it not pull timing for air temperature. Does this module work?? Also, I have the option of buying the lid with a new IAT sensor already installed. Should I get the lid with the new IAT already installed or can I just use the one I have now and move it over to the new lid??

Just get the lid and use your iat. Stay away from the timing tricker IMO. The direct flow and Texas Speed lids are the best IMO. Happy modding

FWIW, I lost almost 5 RWHP with the ATM from SLP and sold it for 15 bucks. It may trick the timing, but it can't change the actual air temperature.

I went with the IAT sensor in the lid. I have 50K of warrenty left and it just made sense to be able to change back and forth with in minutes without the wd40 and pliers each time.

I would have got a TSP if I had know about them..
and stay the heck away from the timing ticker.
