In general, a puck type clutch tends to grab or bite much harder than a full face "normal" clutch. Puck type clutches chatter more and are less pleasant in terms of disengaging smoothly on the street. I puck type clutch will most likely feel nothing close to a near stock or stock clutch where a full face clutch will.
Puck types are great for abuse or racing with high HP engines. Full face clutches (usually) have their limits before they start to slip. An excellent comparison of these two clutches would be the Spec stage 3 (puck) vs. Spec stage 3+ (full face).
