Default engine removal question

im almost done removing the engine all i have left is drive shaft , tranny mout, strut tower bolts and the 3 bolts on each side of the k. well everything i have left is not a problem the driveshaft is i took out the 2 bolts and the bracket fell down spun the driveshaft took the 2 remaing bolts out second bracket fell. when i try to push it into the tranny it wont go it wont budge am i missing something?

do you mean "compress" the driveshaft so it will drop down and slide out????

if so take a pry bar or a huge flat head screw driver and pull back on the u joints toward the trannt and it should come out

or get the bfh and go to town lol

i didint know it was ok to pry on the u joint and the rear i was going to but i figure id ask first before i break something

If its not the u-joints being stubborn then your transmission output shaft maybe twisted. Try using a pry bar between the pinion nut and the center of the U-joint.

Gentle nudge from a rubber mallet will work too.
