I used a guy by the name of Art Mandel. I almost made the mistake of buying a house that I thought was in decent shape. After a 30 page report I backed out. If you can't find any info on him let me know and I will dig it up for you. He is kind of expensive but worth it. Good Luck!

True this can save you alot of money and in my opinion it should be the first step taken if you are in the process of buying a used home, or planning to remodel a used home. This can determine weather you spend 10k on repairs or 100k, in which case it would be better to tear down the house and rebuild it once more, rather than spending the time, and money on trying to repair a home, and getting unexpected cost during the process.
