Default t56 swap

I found a t56 in the local rag that had been built to go into a Ford kit car. The seller indicated to me that I just needed to change the bell housing for me to use this tranny with my 99LS1. I want to install this combo in my 67 camaro. Thanks for your time..RM

so is there a question here? your not clear. from what i understand there are different lengths T56 LT1 and LS1 are not the same from what i understand yes they have different bellhousings but the input shaft is different so it depends what kind of motor your gonna put it behind.A traditional small block =LT1 trans or LSX = LS1 or 2 trans hope this helps

Yes the Lt1 and LS1 use different lenght inputshafts , front plates and clutch designs . The Ford also has a different front plate , input shaft and clutch spline as well . The tail housing and speedo setup is different on the Fords as well .

Will a t56 out of a 98 viper swap onto a 350 chev early model 73-79 or is it like the LT1 or LS1 with yet another different input shaft. Thanks
