Default Might be a stupid question but.....

I had to do an engine swap because some idiot left a wrench in my engine and it completly destroyed the engine, i swapped as far as i know a stock '99 camaro ls1 in to my '99 trans am, one thing i noticed differen't is that there is stickers on the heads mine said "SHA" and the one's from the camaro say "SHB" does that mean anything? Also since the swap my exhaust has been deeper and louder, than before, what could cause this because everything is still stock? Like i said it might be a stupid question but i didn't know if this actually meant anything. Thanx

maybe your luck, and the motor you pulled out of the car to replace yours with is actually a 422CI LS1 with 500HP. Just kidding. It could be all in your head, An LS1 is an LS1.

I've noticed when I get new parts from GM they often have odd letters like that on them. They are probably some kind of factory codes that tell which plant or which vendor supplied the part.

They both have the same casting number on them, I have drove the car for the past few days and people that heard it before also say that it is louder now, also i have noticed a power gain as well, also at higher rpm's it has a little rougher feel, not a bad rough though. my old engine seemed a little smoother. I will be going to the track on Wed and i guess that will tell me if it actually has any more power or if it is all in my head. after finding the cause of my engine blowing up to be a wrench in the engine my thoughts are anything is possible. Also , you will have to forgive me on this one but..., did the Camaro SS have anything differen't in the engine from a Z28?
