They look like Polk subs to me, like the same as from this http://www.polkaudio.com/caraudio/pr.../12inch/db212/ but with a different box? (Actually, it's the grill that I recognized more than the subs themselves)

Those look like 2 prefab enclosures put side by side. I actually carry some that look similar to that.

it's actually a single bandpass enclosure, the split in the center is the bandpass port

it's made by a company called "Dual", and they sell them at best buy:

Dual is a really cheap brand, but they get the job done....i have one of their 10" subs in my car right now, and it will work until i get around to replacing it with a JL stealthbox.....the sub only cost me like $30 or so, and i've been pounding on it for over 2 years now, with no issues.....i've definitely gotten my $30 worth, lol

Yea.... a sony amp...

I intended to purchase a dual amp so the iluminite would work but i had waited a while for the humount to get in because he was backed up with holiday orders and didnt really think about the amp until the humount came in so i ran out and picked up a sony 1000 watt.

It has a clean look and powers the subs great. I can actually sit up front driving and feel the air shoot from the port in the back at half or a little less volume.

Yes they are definately a cheaper brand for as you say they also get the job done. The box was around 160.00.
