Default noise when turning

My 96 Trans Am makes a noise when turning left or right...sounds like its coming from the rear end. I've only noticed it at low speeds.

It has 373 gears that were on the car when I got. The noise just started, but I hope its not the beginning of the end for the rear end...any ideas on what it could be?

Thanks in advance

Is it a grinding, clunking or squealing noise?

Its not a clunking noise...I guess its more of a grinding/rubbing noise. Could this be an axle or wheel bearing?
