Default 07 6.0 in a 96 caprice

does anyone know what all i need and where i can get it from? the car has a digital factory dash and he wants to get it all back working also need info on motor mounts and all nessesary parts to do the swap

gauges should be easy....even though its digital, there is still individual wires for coolant temp, oil pressure, speedo, and tach. And the fuel gauge DOES NOT get run by the PCM on these.

You will have to add a coolant sensor to the 6.0L as you can not share the signal from the current sensor. Other then that it should all work. you'll hook the 4000 pulse per mile vss signal wire from the 6.0L PCM to the VSS input to the dash. same thing with the tach....not sure what the tach signal was on the LT1 pcm, 8 cylinder or 4 cylinder...but i'm sure the 07 will have a 4 cylinder signal.

oil pressure sensor on the 07 goes to the PCM...not sure if voltage out of this sensor is same as older ones...might need the sender from a 96 lt1 for gauge to read right.
