Default I am a Ford guy but I want a GM, Which is the Better GM?

I use to own a 03 Mach 1 and now I have an 03 Cobra. But I am looking foward to expand my taste. I never hated GM, I always loved the T/A, Camaros, the Vettes & grand nationals.

I am doing a research before my next car buy.
Here are my options:

Camaro SS
Trans AM WS6 or firebird, firehawk.
Corvette Z06
Grand National

I know that the Z06 is a bit expensive but they look great and I already know that they are awsome fast as cars.

But which LS1 equiped car is lighter & better? the camaro ss or Trans Am?

As far as the T/A and camaro is concerned, which one do you like the looks of better? Becasue that is the only real difference between the two. Same powerplants and drivetrains. Now the differences between the vettes and the grand nationals is obvious. And as it was said before go for the one you can get the best deal on. And good luck.

The SS seems like it has better aerodynamics. But I hear that the Camaro is lighter then the T/A is that true?

if your able to get a Z06 thats what i would get!! but between the SS and WS6, its practically the same car. just which do u prefer? if it were me, i would more than likely get a WS6 over an SS. the WS6 just looks friggin nasty!! plus i dont know if they will ever make another trans am!! so i would go ahead and get the WS6..

They weigh the same or at least within a few pounds. i would say the vette is the most aero of the group you're looking at though

They're light and make lotsa power. The factory cylinder heads flow really well so you can gain alot of power with just a cam swap. They love nitrous and respond well to boost. What more could you want from a motor?

I'd get a Vette before I'd ever buy another F-body, although the F-bodies do have their own appeal. I'd keep your '03 Cobra, though, before I'd give it up for an F-body...I think you might be disappointed in the swap.

I would go for the z06 first, but if you were choosing between SS or WS6 it should be completely up to your tastes.

Personally, I'm biased towards camaros, so I would say SS. If you can find either an SS or a WS6 at a decent price, go for it.

And as far as these engines go... you don't get on the Ward's 10 best engines list for nothing

If the 03 Cobra isnt modded, there will be no diaspointment going to a bolt on car, or even one with a cam. They can be found right here in this site for VERY reasonable prices.

*biased opinion* but go for a ws6, cam it up and be sure to make more hp/torque than your s/c cobra

Yeah, you are getting the best of both worlds if you are keeping your cobra.

I was looking at vettes but I havent seen one for a good price yet. So far my though is buy a Camaro SS with high miles & just build the engine up for boost or Nitrous or maybe both. Or I might buy the LS1 engine with the 6spd & just built it up & once i am done Ill find a nice Camaro shell and do a black on black theme.
