Default Anyone run 5.5 or 6 inch wide rims up front?

Hey guys, I dont quite like the look of the 3.5 inch skinny on the front of out cars. I think it would look much better with a 5.5 or 6 inch wide rim and tire up there. Just wondered if anyone happens to run that? I know centerline makes a 5.5 inch rim in the warrior lineup, and am thinking about snagging them.

I have a 17x6 up front and 17x11 out back. Just remember it won't give you all the benifit of a smaller tire in a straight line, and won't handle as well as a wider tire in the curves. In my opinion it is a good compromise if you don't plan on racing through the twistes and want some of the benefit of a smaller tire up front for straight line.

I have a nitto NT-01 on the front and while it is wearing quickly, it sticks decent enough. It is a road race tire and I would not recommend it for a daily driver, only cause it wears so quick. I would definantely pick a high end front tire to help in what you are giving up in width. Here's some pics.

I'm in the process of replacing my 3.5" draglites with 5" draglites and 205/70/R15's. Like you I never quite liked the real small tire up front but still wanted to keep the fats and skinnies look and some of the weight savings. The 15 x5 draglite fits with a 1/2" spacer, long studs and calipers ground down to fit the 3.5's with a 5/16 spacer. The 205's are 1 - 1.5 inches wider than the pep boys radials.
