quick head question
OK guys, i have a line on some TSP stage 1.5 LS6 heads. They are insanelly cheap because the guy needs the money for AFR's. Anyhow, my question is this. I just got a cam spec'd from patrick g, and he spec'd the cam to stock LS6 castings, which would be 64 CC. These have been milled to 58cc, so it looks as if I would need a .070 head gasket to get the compression ratio, and DCR that he spec'd the cam for. Do they make a gasket for the LS1 that is around that thickness? And would it negativelly affect anything? The specs on teh cam are 226/230 .612/.588 on a 111+1. Would it be worth the extra money to buy these over stock LS6 castings, or will having to space them up just ruin it?

I did a COMETIC gasket one time for a guy that was 3.910/.072. It was a custom deal which didn't cost anymore. Average price of $77.00 a head gasket I believe. I tryed looking for the old part # I had, but can't find it.

its cool man. I got ahodl of Patrick, and he said it would be fine on even a .040 gasket without PTV issues. That would put me well into the 11.9:1 ratio, so im going with stock head gaskets, which are a compressed thickness of arond .053 I think, and that gives me an SCR of 11.5:1 and a DCR of 8.9:1. Should put me into some decent numbers.

No, stock LS1 (241) castings are 66.67cc, i had it spec'd for LS6 (243) castings which are 64.45cc. these have been milled to 58cc. but regardless, I think i have it figured out. Thanks
