Questions about 5.3 truck motor, 4L80Es, throttle module, ect Ive got a 03 5.3, and was wondering if throttle pedal module from 03 and up were compatible? I found a 07 GMC at the salvage yard with the pedal in tact. Thats as close to my year as Ive found around here. Also have a 04 ECM, will that work with the harness/pedal?
Also, did GM change the cases up on the 4L80Es after the 6.0s came out? I know they did with the 4L60Es but was wondering about the 80Es. I picked up a 4L80E from a 97 6.5T truck today for a core. I know it can be put behind my 5.3 with the GM spacer(already have it), where can I find what I need to change the wiring to the trans over to the 80E stuff? I got whats left of the large connector on the side of the tranny, a few pins IN the trans connection are pulled out, Ill have to fix that. Other than that, what else will I need?
Sorry for all the questions, Im almost to the point of getting everything I need to start the conversion, and want to get this setup to go smoothly.
