Has anyone took off their Cruise Control?

I was going to do away with the cruise control on my car but the cable that goes from the gas to the cruise box is too short to go straight from the gas to the TB. So I put the cruise back on til I find a solution. Does Lokar make a cable for us or is it a universal deal?
