6.0L Turbo Build
Well, current parts are being sold off and the engine will come out probably this weekend to be sold. I made this thread to go along with the build as it goes and to hopefully be able to get some help from the turbo veterans at I go. right now the basic new setup is looking like this:
ENGINE:
6.0L Iron block bored .030
6.0L MLS gaskets
GM 6.0L Crank
Compstar 6.125" Rods
Diamond -15CC Dish Pistons
317 Cast heads / Patriot double springs
02/03 Z06 Cam (204/218 .551/.547 -117.5 LSA)
LS6 Intake
ARP Head/Main bolts/Studs
Rollmaster Double
Lifters
Pushrods
FUEL:
60# Injectors
Fuel Rails
Twin Walbro's
TURBO KIT:
KYTP TC76MM Kit
EXHAUST:
Stock Truck Manifolds
2.5" ORY back to Turbo Inlet
MISC:
Boost Guage
Fuel Pressure gauge
WBO2 + Guage
OPTIONAL"
Boost Controller
Meth Inj. Kit
I chose the STS kit becuase of the price I can get it for and the ease of install, underhood temps etc. and that my HP goal is around 650WHP which should be attainable through the STS kit - Let me know if you see anything i need to add to the list.
QUESTIONS:
What rings should I go with? Total Seal?
My goal is 650WHP, what should the engine be able to handle? I would think 1000HP+ assuming its built properly?
What are my choices for the turbo upgrade? I know the the T60 cant handle my goals should i just go with the GT76? I also found a Ball bearing GT78 should I consider this aswell?

thanks josh, seems like your alawys will to help someone out. What would your turbo kit be able to make on this stetup? Could I upgrade the turbo down the road if I decided to, and would anything else need to be done?

didn't update it since i thought this thread kinda died. But after looking at the STS after all the upgrade costs it would be cheaper to go with the KYTP kit from Josh, and, i will end up with with what i beleive to be a much better and FM kit.
I want to peice togather all the little extras for the engine and once they're on their way you can expect me to be in contact. Now hopefully someone will respond to my LQ9/LS1 interchangable parts thread so i know what i need to get.
