My friend lives nearby in Concord, NC. Just last week, he told me by phone that they're going like gangbusters building the new track. One of the biggest parts of the project is building a huge wall/sound barrier on 1 side of the track to protect houses 1/2-1 mile away from the noise...it'll be great to have another NHRA national event within driving distance for us on the eastern seaboard, along w/Englishtown and Reading.....WJ

I can't wait. The closest 1/4 track to me right now if Rockingham which is almost 90 minutes away. The new track will be ~ an hour from me....
