Default Ford 9" + 3.5" alum. DS help

I have a couple questions. First off, is it possible to overtighten the four nuts that hold the u-bolts on at the rear end? Second, where can I buy some more of those u-bolts? TIA!

yes, the u-bolts can be overtightened. they will normally strip off the threads if done so.

if it is a 1350 series u-joint, the part # is 330-10 from Precision U-joint. i've had good luck getting them from o'reilly auto stores

If u-bolts are overtightened you can oval the u-joint cups and that will cause premature failure.
