Default Comparision between 10% UD and 25% UD

ok so i have the ASP pulley....earlier i was linked to a 10% UD pulley from ATI that only has the serp grooves and is 2.25 lbls lighter.....

what i was wondering if the 2 would cancel each other out per say....

ATI pulley is 10% UD but 2.25 lbs lighter

ASP pulley is 25% UD but weighs 2.25 more due to the added ribs for the AC belt

i have no ac so thats why im asking and have no use for this pulley anymore

thanks

i don't think you'll get anywhere near enough of a gain from losing 2lbs to make up for 1/3 the amount of underdrive.

realize the weight advantage only applies to the one pulley...which will be minimal gain.

but the percentage underdrive applies to all the components involved...for you the alt and WP.

not to mention by having no A/C you'll free up even more power...even if that section of the pulley is still there...just with no belt of connected compressor.

sorry for digging up an old thread but I am looking into buying a UD pulley, 40 bucks for a powerbond 10% and 120 for a 25% SLP...is there that much of a difference?
