Default what size cutout for stock Y-pipe?

What size cutout do i need for the stock Y-pipe on my '02 WS6? Also, where exactly should I place it?? I was thinking a few inches past where the two pipes in the Y merge together. Is this a good location? Thanks.

Put it on the I pipe just before the axle. There is a good place here for an electric plate if you choose to get one.

I used a 3" cutout. That's the one you'll need.

Thanks a lot, i searched for over an hour earlier, and the only info i found was 2.75" for a stock 2000 Z28, but i thought that sounded a little small. So a 3" flowtech cutout it is. I was thinking it would go somewhere in the I-pipe, now i know. I will be getting the QTP electric plate in the future, but right now that is $140 that can go into something else
