if ur talking about a stock 6.0 iron block, i would guess around upper 5's to low 6's. If you did rods, bolts, and pistons on the stock crank you should be able to hit your goal. If your talking about an ls2 1 guy on here made 700 but it last about 1,000 miles i believe.
Good luck, Chris

Don't you guys remember CASPER (W2Ws car) 6.0L GM block destroked and made what 1800rwhp?!! Of course that's on the extreme end and they extensively modified that block to get there but at the same time just goes to show you can throw just about anything at it. My last build was a TT 6.0L at just 725rwhp DD.

This is a no brainer.
If the engine is apart there is no reason to reuse the stock stuff.
Make the investment in some quality forged pistons and good h-beam rods.
If you are shooting for 8's you would be wise to spend the extra $$$
on good parts to avoid breaking the stock stuff.
There is no way the stock internals will take that kind of abuse.
Good luck, your goals and setup are very similar to mine!!!!

i dont think youll have a problem, just dont go ape-**** on the boost. 600-650whp will last you the year as long as your tune is good, and keep the timing conservative. in a 3000lb car that should be good for low low 10s without a whole lot of drama. Then youll at least get a chance to dial in a good base tune and get suspension/driveline sorted out. Hell im in the 600whp area and i dont even have a intercooler, put about8-10k miles on it last year. I run 89-91 octane, 9.5psi and about 10-12 degrees of timing, 11.3:1 AFR and i drive it daily in the summer. stock right down to the valvesprings
