LSM valve spring tool
I purchased a new valve spring tool (LSM)from S/D and used it today for the 1st time. It is by far the best tool I have ever bought and used. If you are looking for something that will change your valve springs with the least amount of hassle, spend the $200 and buy the tool from S/D, you will not regret it. Dyno

Re: LSM valve spring tool
Did you actually use it on an LS1? What springs did you install? How did you get around the issues with it not clearing an uncompressed spring? What about the cowl? It doesnt clear a C5 nor an F-body cowl?
I know they were going to redesign it a bit so maybe they've done that already.

Re: LSM valve spring tool
I used the new LSM tool on a F-body. I changed a set of Comp #941 springs. It fit under the cowl very easy. I ran 10.705 @ 123.94 at BIR this weekend with it and qualified .985 under the B/FIA index for the #1 position. I love the power of a LS1. Dyno

Re: LSM valve spring tool
Interesting info. I'll have to see if I can dig out some 941 springs and see if this tool can compress them. The 918's were too tall it seemed but maybe other springs are fine.
