Who does Piston coating? Also has anyone ran ring land coating? Any negatives from running a coated piston?

coating the grooves is a bad idea....the piston disapates heat through the rings and you don't want to block that. Sometimes we anodize grooves to keep them from microwelding...but it's too cost-prohibitive for most people.

Also Many places will do coatings, etc. Polymer-Dynamics (Polydyn) is one of the larger places that will get this out even though lately, the turnaround has been slow as they have been swamped.
On another note, I hope you are doing well Brian! Long time no talk.

I called polydyn after talking with Brian, but I haven't heard back yet. I was told that the coated k398s would not be ready until late March.
