Default H4 light conversion on 96 ws6

Hey guys I've seen quite a couple of non-sponsors selling housing and H4 bulbs to convert onto 95-97 ta's and was wondering how do you actually convert the bulbs to H4 from what is actually set up there now, cuz I know they aren't the same bulbs. If anyone could help I'd really appreciate it cuz these non-sponsor conversions are a temp. solution til i get HID's, thanks!

Here is what you need:
  • Conversion housings that hold H4 bulbs.
(available from some online vendors and ebay)
  • H4 bulbs
(Available in any auto parts store and online.)
  • H4 sockets to replace the car's H4666 sockets
(Available in any auto parts store and online.)
  • Cut off the car's H4666 sockets and wire-in the H4 sockets in their place.
(Connect the right wires to the right pins or the bulbs will not work properly.)
  • Install the H4 bulbs in the conversion housings
  • Connect the housing/bulb assembly to the new socket.
  • Mount the Conversion housings where the original bulbs went
  • Test the low beam and high beam to make sure everything is wired up correctly

Why replace your headlights twice? Unless you mean to say that you want to get conversion housings and then install HID in them. I'd recommend against it, but if that is what you really want to do, you can get a complete kit (housings and HID) from www.ledgauges.com (a sponsor). You may loose high beams though. I'd recommend projectors. Since you have a 1996 Firebird, you'd need bi-xenon projectors to retain high beam functionality.
