Default wht do i need??

ok well lets start at the beginning, we'll i was planning on doing a cam/head swap well it went bad, i ended up breaking a bolt inside the old block(ls1 98 camaro) and i couldnt find anyone to remove it.. well after taking the block shop after shop i decided to just buy a block.. well i found a pretty good block for $1000.00 and i was blessed to see that the block was in good shape. it just needed to be cleaned up. so here goes my question to you guys. what do ya ll recommend bout the cleaning process, should i just clean it out myself or take it to a shop and let them clean it out for me. does anyone know how much this runs also, and since the block has been sitting for 1 year or so, what sensors do i need to get this baby going and since my car is a 98 do i need that knock sensor wire and where can i purchase it at.. thanks guys
