373's for an m6 im not going to start a discussion on this. i just want a link to the discussion b/c i know its been on here plenty of times. im using the search and havnt found the info yet so if you know of a good link please pm me or post it. mods if you have a good one please pm me or post it and lock the thread.
the problem im having is that all the 3.73 threads are directed towards the A4's not the M6's so there is my problem. i want info partaining to peoples experineces with 3.73's in an M6.

Dont do 4.10's in a stock rear end its going to break ten times easier than the 3.73's behind an m6. I have 3.73's and i feel like there the perfect gear. I had 4.10's and buste them the first pass and honestly didnt feel much stronger than the 3.73. Everyone says 3.73 wont make much difference but they are full of it. but dont expect more than .15 off your et and .20 with 4.10 these m6 cars are already geared pretty high. The 3.73 keep it in the power band just right in my opinion and everyone else at simple quick will agree

well, my question is that i dont do alot of drag racing, more along the line of a 40roll, and i would like to know whether or not the 3.73's would be a good gearing for that or whether 4.10's would. this is also my DD.

I have had 3.42, 3.73, 4.10 and 4.56's in my T-56 Camaro.
Fact is with a 6 speed you start racing it and dropping the clutch it's going to break the gears, I've broke all the gears I had with the exception of the stock 3.42's.
If you want the car to go faster 3.73 or 4.10 will be fun to drive, once you start leaving hard, dropping the clutch it will break sooner or later. Rolls on the freeway with power applied to the drive train already will not be close to as hard as revving to 5k and dropping the clutch at the drag strip.
Honestly if you plan to build up your car talk to a sponsor about getting a better rear end, in the long run it will end up being a lot less money especially if you consider down time when your car breaks or if you break an axle and crash your car... I think you get the point.
