Default LS2 timing chain

Ok i asked for a LS2 timing chain for my cam install on my 2002 LS1,should i have asked for the timing gears also? or will the stock ones work.I'm new to this and was going on some advice on the LS2 chain.Maybe i misunderstood on what i was supost to ask for lol.
