What does a BOV do for a supercharger and how do you set it up?

For a blower you want a Bypass valve which only opens during boost. BOV is mainly for Turbo's. installed on a blower car and it stays open pretty much at idle and can be noisy. but i had one on my S-trim it i liked it. others say that they will damage the blower. i have no proof of that either way. but make sure its mounted before the MAF sensor. you can also vent the bypass valve to the atmosphere and it would make noise as well.
