LS1 Clutch power?
#2
can't handle stock lol
seriously though, if you do some simple precautions, you may get it to last ok.
first do the drill mod
insulate the hydraulic line
use Dot4 synthetic
change fluid regularly (or at least the Ranger cycle method)
allow good cool down between runs (don't hot lap it at the track)
don't try to slip it a lot
Sadly for me when my car was bone stock, I had plenty of meat left on the clutch but had heat marks and was slipping under WOT conditions in 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Went LS7 with new hydraulics and never looked back. Seriously it had almost as much clutch material thickness as the LS7 I put in.

I got one track run on the stock clutch, followed by 4 with noticeable slipping, and now it chatters and won't hold WOT in 1st or 2nd on the street.
So basically it is only good for normal street driving.

i had some idiot at one of the spots i used to go to tell me stock clutch cand hold 700rwhp
rofl x 11ty billion
my stock 44k mile ls6 clutch will HOLD the power, but it boils the fluid causing the pedal to stick to the floor. a clutch/hydraulic upgrade is planned, but not for a long while.

My master and slave went out so I replaced them and did the drill mod. 2 weeks later my pressure plate littarly exploded. It only had 36k on it. The clutch disk looked very nice, plenty of life left. I know that it was the drill mod that did that obviously. Because it allows more fluid and pressur/force be applied to the pressure plate and it couldnt hold it. I am not saying not to do the drill mod but I would not do it unless you put in aftermarket clutch that can take that power. I love the drill mod with my new ram clutch though. Keep in mind I have an 01 and 01 and 02's came with Z06 clutches. Good luck.
