my temp gauge wont come on

Question my temp gauge wont come on
i just put my new alternator on, unplugged the plug to the lid, MAF, and the two on the drivers side of the TB so i can get a little more slack (its all plugged in now since im done). my temp gauges doesnt show anything, any body know why this is happeneing?

First thing I'd look at is the ECT sensor/wiring.
