13/14 hi or low?
i have been doing countless hours of research on these 2 cams
f13 230/232 .595/.585 f13 high lift. same duration lift is .642/.612 112lsa
f14 232/234 .598/.598 f14 high lift. same duration lift is .646/.612 112lsa
is it worth getting the extra lift on these cams if i decide to go with more lift? i understand they are pretty close and all, and probably shouldnt sweat the little more duration. If i chose to go with the high lift versions of either of these cams isnt it gonna beat the crap out of my vavletrain? Even if i get the right springs for the cams will i be swapping out springs sooner with the more lift specs? I was dead set on the f13 high lift but now i am wondering. This is a daily driven full weight car. I am not worried about dyno #'s, more track times. I have heard the f-14 lopes harder. I want a nice lope. I just think the amount of lift on the high lift cams scares me a little. After everything i have read, i think the right choice for me would probably be the 14 with the lower lift. Has anyone had any experience with these new high lift 13s and 14s? From what i have read, the more duration will peak later in the rpm band. And the more lift will make more power within that band. Someone give me some opinions concerning the higher lift on these cams and would it be worth it?

yeah, i just dont want to have to change out springs constantly. I hear they are similar, but the 14 has a harder lope to it. I think i am swaying towards the 14 with the lower lift. I am scared to death that once i finally get my car the way i have always wanted it that something will happen. ie. spin a bearing. I dont want to have to spin the car to 7k either. maybe 6500. i cant find alot either about these high lift cams. Wish more people had experience with them
