yea but the car is my DD and i need it for work on monday.
yea, from all my stalling and hard starting problem posts i think you've seen i turn the key on and hear the initial buzz, but no whirring noise from inside the tank. checked the schrader valve and it just dribbles out. not even any pressure from the gas cap comes out.

Sounds like a pump then! Lucky you having to replace that! Are you doing the trap door or dropping the rear?
I know the feeling of having one car and it breaking too well. I have had to hitch rides with my brother too often when replacing something on my car or diagnosing what the problem is. Good thing I bought him a truck! Anyway I'd call around and see if anyone has a Walbro or could overnight one too you for pretty cheap. If not then stock replacement is your only choice.

yea i measured out the dimensions for the trap door. im just waiting to borrow a dremel from my neighbor.
i wouldnt know where to call besides napa, kragen for a walbro. plus i dont know if i should run it on stock voltage. i wanted to get the RT kit from thunder, but itll take a few days to get here so by tuesday/wensday.

A stock pump on the "hotwire kit" would be better than a stock pump on stock voltage. They are underpowered from the factory so that wouild be a nice upgrade to the regular pump. But as I mentioned I would just wait it out and get a Walbro with the "hotwire kit", maybe hitch rides till then. Thats just me though because I have a nitrous kit waiting to be installed so a better pump would help. But if you plan on not doing much more to your car I suppose a part's store pump would do you fine in your case. I'm just a firm believer in doing it once with an upgraded part.

i have a question, could the EVAP solenoid or charcoal canister cause any stalling?
the car smells like gas from the canister area after driving, but im wondering if the purge solenoid is bad.
