Help!!!! Flywheel bolts are stripped, now what????

Default Help!!!! Flywheel bolts are stripped, now what????

I started to install my new transmission and discovered that it Looks like someone has worked on my stock one and stripped all 3 flywheel bolts and now I can't remove the stock tranny.. What are my options? Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Those are torque converter bolts. Been talked about a lot.
I'd use a die grinder and cutoff wheel or 4 1/2" grinder.
Lot of ways to do it. Air chisel, weld a nut to it, torch it off, it's your choice.

Hey, I had the same problem with mine today. Completely rounded out the inside of one of them.

Got a nice set of Irwin rounded bolt remover sockets from home depot they were like $20 but they worked PERFECTLY. Worth every penny.

I think probably the easiest way to get the torque converter bolts off the flywheel is by getting the grinder wheel, cutting through them, then remove the converter, try to grind a screw slot ( for a flathead) in the end of the bolt, and try to unscrew them.. If they are kind of rusty spray them down with PB blaster and let them soak for a good while..
