fuel pump electrical connector

how the hell do you take that yellow connector off the top of the pump? ive tried prying it, an everything.

I don't believe it is made to come off, if you are referring to the one on the top of the sending unit. Unplug it at the connector on the sheetmetal in front of the axle from under the car.
