trans cooling line question
im currently trying to route my trans ( 4l80e ) cooling lines . i have the ones that came with the trans. and they are hitting the body .i need to make new ones with a tighter bend .1... are these lines metric or standard ? 2...is the flare a " bubble" flare into the trans ? 3... can i buy lines with this type of flare on it already? i only need it on one side then i can have flex lines crimped on that head up to the rad. THANKS ,JOHN

Ran into the same problem with my conversion. Make sure the back line has the little extension tube on it like the factory line or you will have problems in the long run. The tube fits into a hole in the case and lubes the rear of the trans. I ran my car this way for a year without a problem. The trans is out now for a build that will handle the 6.0 with twins on it. The guys at FLT have it now and told me of the importance of the extension tube. Vince is going to make me up a 90 degree fitting that will have the tube on it for proper lubrication.
