Need help with heads for my car
Ok...I am running a custom grind 228/225 .588/.569 113+4 LSA cam in my WS6. It's an auto car. Whenever I purchase the heads, I will be replacing lifters, pushrods, maybe rockers and installing an adjustable timing chain. I will probably going to a 3.73 gear as well. But I am trying to decide what heads to buy that will perform well and won't break my wallet. I'd like to stay under $1800 for a set of heads (maybe that might be unrealistic, but that's what I'm asking for because I don't know).
The car will be an N/A only car...I never plan to spray it. It's an A4 with a Yank ST3500 converter, 3.42s, intake, Corsa exhaust, FLP LTs, and the rest is in my sig.
I have heard good things about TEA heads, but I haven't really researched them. The Patriots are cheap, but that might not be a good thing. I have heard of some problems with them in the past, but I'm not sure if that has changed as of late. Another friend suggested these for my setup: http://www.wpparts.com/product/770ad...112594332.aspx
Any thoughts would be helpful. Right now, the car has gone 11.88 @ 113.5 at full weight with this setup spinning the motor up to 6400 RPMs. I am pleased with that, but I'd like to get into the 11.50 range if possible. Not really concerned with dyno numbers, but if anyone wants to know, the car put down 380/364 with this setup. So, any help is appreciated!
