6)problem is at 1-2 and 2-3 shift points gets weak from 100-200 rpms
before shift.tone of the motor changes and sounds like and old thrush tin can muffler.then

Since you have an auto, is it possible torque management is pulling timing? Do you know if it's been tuned out?
You mention you have a lean condition. Was this measured by a wideband O2?

no it has not been confirmed by the o/2's.i have tried it both ways with torq man on and
off no diff.the best way to understand is to here it.by the way i work in your city.
home base is O.P,KS.maybe you could here it some time.i work off the access road on the west side of 35.parts dept with all the chevys out front.this problem has been drivin
me crazy for a year.and it's at a steadythottle up to speed that it happens not a WOT condition.

Wow, Small world. I work a little to the east of I-35 on 135th. I'd be happy to listen to it, but I'm relatively new to the tuning game. It does seem strange that it's only at part throttle. If you purposely hold below the shift point does it still act wonky? What about if you were to manually shift it?
