news question: where does the transmission fluid go?
So I just got me advance auto parts gm Approved dexron3 auto transmission fluid. I got some cause I'm leaking a bit underneath. So till I come up with the dough to repair I'm gonna have to reload every couple days. Question is where do I load this sucker? The same route where the dipstick goes? And do u think the advance auto brand I got is good enough? Thanks a lot guys and have a great spring break.

You can take the shifter off and fill it from the top or you can use the transmission fill plug near the top. If you use the fill plug your gonna need a pump of some sort. Advance should have one that looks like a syringe. There is an active thread in the manual transmission area about filling the tranny I believe.

As far as the Advance brand - I cant say - dont know who makes it.
Personally, I use Valvoline Dexron III
