I was working on the tune in the 98 WS6 I just bought, flashed in a calibration and it kept doing back and forth between high speed mode and normal mode..took 15 minutes to finish the flash..never seen hp tuners do that before..

any idea what could have happened??

Could've been a connection issue, vehicle battery issue, etc. Lots of reasons why it would go into low speed mode.

An aftermarket stereo could also be the culprit. Some units like Eclipse never actually turn all the way off unless power is physically disconnected.
