Default diff between 93LT1 and 94-97

whats the differance in the way the intake is setup on a 93Lt1 and the 94-97? I wanted to buy the SLP cold air induction but it says its for 94-97 and dont know why i cant use it on a 93.and is therea way i can make it fit on a 93? Im getting a real good deal on 1 so i need to know.

It's because there's no MAF on a 93.

The '93 does not have a MAF. The intake for a '94-'97 would probably be short, length wise, reaching to the elbow. Probably something you could overcome tho'.

93 fbody's have speed density system, and they dont use the MAF sensor, thats why SLP made different kit for 93's that bolts on with no MAF sensor.

you can try but youll end up doing some custom work, because that kit wont fit perfect, it will be a little shorter.

You'll need to make some sort of dummy MAF, using maybe PVC pipe to take up the extra room. You also have to mod the front of the car to get it to fit too I believe.
