If either one of these is bad will it normally throw a code on the PCM for a '94 LT1? Is this a common occurance and how much looking at to fix privately?

No, it will not throw a code for a bad pump or regulator. If you are looking for a shop to change your pump it wii be around $500-$700. How do you know your pump is bad?

looking into picking one up but the current owner said it wouldn't pass smog because it's throwing a code and that's the reason probably from a bad fuel pump/regulator
