Engine Transplant Question
Ok, if this is not the right place for this question, just let me know guys.
My father-in-law has a 01 V6 Firebird that has quite a few engine problems, and just spun a rod. He didn't really want to mess with it too much, but asked me if he could somehow transplant the engine from their 98 supercharged bonneville into it. I am not very knowledgable on GM yet, still learning, and was wondering if any of you guys could help me out.
Any imput is appreciated. Thanks,
Bobby

i think you can but nothing but the long block (heads and block) are interchangeable and since it has the blower on it the compression might be down a bit. i would be interested in buying the firebird if he wonts to sell it.
