Default lt1 or switch to stock ls1

I am about to buy an lt1 camaro, but it unfortunately has the 98+ front end. I am not sure if I would like to switch the front end back or put in an ls1. Which would be the faster/better engine? the lt1 has "its got an lt4 performance cam kit ported heads ported eldebrock intake ported throttle body pacesetter longtube headers dual flowmaster 40 series motive 3.73 gear B&M automatic shift kit-- B&M shifter + k&n cold air intake system" while the ls1 would be stock, at least for the summer. any help would be great, thanks

why do you need to match the engine to the front end? its a waste of time and money IMO i think it would be best to just use the money you would to replace the front end or do the motor swap and build that lt1 up nasty style.... a 12 bolt is always an awesome investment too

that was the goal by going back to the old front end. Couldnt i sell the ls1 front end for more, and then get an lt1 front end, and make money?
