Default plastic gas tank

i was just wondering how much does the plastic gas tank weigh compared to the metal one found on lt1 cars. also do all ls1 f bodies have a plastic gas tank. thanks

There isn't a big weight difference and the plastic ones hold more. 98 cars have metal gas tanks still. I believe it is 99 and newer that got the plastic ones. IF you have the metal one I belive youre better off just keeping it unless you have a problem with it. The pump and wiring are different and not worth it IMO

kk cool thanks guys i was working on my 99 z yesterday and noticed it has a plastic one didnt know if all ls1 cars had them and if they were alot lighter than metal ones
