Default Trashed Converter..??

Hey guys.....my 99 4L60e was hanging on the back of the motor (in park) with little to no trans fluid inside while the engine was run for 30+ minutes. What is the probability that something ugly happened to the converter or trans..? I'm thinking I should plan to replace the converter....what do you think..??

Thanx for your opinion in advance! DK

I honestly don't know much about the subject, but i just read that a low amount of tranny fluid can really hurt a transmission. Even though it may not seem like much

How much is little to none, was it enough to circulate a little. Running the transmission and converter dry that long probably did damage. All of the bearings, bushings and washers are not designed to run dry and can easily be damaged after just a few minutes with no fluid.

Thanx for the replies.

It was unknowingly run with the trans lines cut, so no circulation.....the pan had fluid in it but clearly the fluid was pumped out and no circulation..sounds like an awwwwww s--t
