Question engine rebuild

i have a motor that spun #5 rod bearing so i plan to rebuild. for now i plan to put a bigger cam in, but leave everything else stock for now. i have 806 heads ( dont even know if those are the good heads from factory or not ), with everything else being basic. i dont really have the cash for new aftermarket heads but i would like to put a cam in that would be good with all the stock parts but when i go to put heads and other bolt ons on the motor it would still work without having to change it. would love to run in the 12s or even 11s without sinking alot of money in it ( not being realistic ). if anyone can help, i would appreciate it, shawn.
